Looper
For golfers

A caddie for your next round.

You name what you are paying, a local caddie claims it, and you approve who turns up. Nothing is charged until the round has been played.

How it works

Post your loop

The course, the tee time, nine or eighteen, and whether you want a caddie carrying or a forecaddie for the group. You set the price.

A caddie claims it

Local caddies see it on the board. You are told who, with their rating, their experience and the courses they work.

You approve them

Look at who claimed it and decide. Approve and they are confirmed; pass, and it goes straight back to other caddies.

Play the round

They meet you at the first tee. Reads, yardages, clean clubs and a bag off your shoulder.

Settle up

Your caddie marks the loop complete and the card you saved is charged. No cash on the eighteenth green.

What it costs

Whatever you offered when you posted the loop. Looper does not add a booking fee on top, and there is no subscription.

When you post

Your card is saved, not touched. Nothing is charged.

When you approve

A hold appears on your card, the way a hotel does it. Still not a charge.

When the round is done

The hold becomes the charge, and your caddie is paid out to their bank.

If you cancel early

Free up to four hours before your tee time, and the hold disappears.

If you cancel late

Inside four hours it is half the price — your caddie turned down other work for you. The app tells you the exact number before you confirm.

If the weather turns

We waive the fee for the whole course. You are not charged.

Tipping

Optional, and entirely theirs — Looper takes none of it. You are offered the choice when you rate them afterwards.

If you have never had a caddie

Nothing here is complicated. The full etiquette page covers it properly.

Lighten the bag

Take out what you do not need for the round. They are walking five miles with it.

Say what you want

On the first tee, tell them how much input you want: numbers only, numbers and a read, or a club in your hand.

Let them work

Do not race them to the bag or rake your own bunker. It looks polite and it gets in the way.

They are working, not serving

Say hello, use their name, thank them at the end.

What your caddie does

What you are paying for, specifically.
